Medical Scribe Program for CCMA Overview
Calling all Certified Clinical Medical Assisting (CCMA) Candidates. Would you like to build on your skill set? Become an MA – Scribe. In less than 8 weeks, individuals can finish the Medical Scribe Training for Allied Health Professionals.
The program is online and self-paced with instructor support. To qualify for enrollment, you must complete and pass the Medical Scribe Readiness Assessment. It confirms your knowledge in the areas of A&P and Medical Terminology, and you can apply that knowledge to this training. Upon completion, you will sit for the Medical Scribe Certification Exam (MSCETM) with the opportunity to earn the Apprentice Medical Scribe Professional (AMSP) credential. Prerequisites: Must be a CMAA and pass a Medical Scribe Readiness Assessment with a score of 80% or above to take the class.

What funding options are available?
The medical scribe program is a FastForward program and is also eligible for the G3 scholarship. Eligible residents who have been living in Virginia for at least one year may qualify for FastForward and pay only one-third of the cost of tuition. Since this is also a G3 program, you may be eligible for last-dollar funding, bringing your total tuition to $0.
