Applicants for the following scholarships may be required to submit further documentation or fill out an application for Financial Assistance to prove financial need. Furthermore, filling out this application does not guarantee you funding, funds are available on a first-come-first-served basis. At the end of this application, you will be required to submit a Thank You note that will be supplied to the scholarship donor if you are selected to receive the funds.
Alice and William Johnson Memorial Endowed Scholarship
The Alice and William Johnson Memorial Endowed Scholarship was started in 2015. The Scholarship was established by the Alice and William Johnson Foundation, on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. Johnson, who were residents of Bealeton, located in Fauquier County, Va.
The Johnsons believed strongly in the value of education. In particular, Alice’s passion was for needy children. In keeping with their wishes, the Alice and William Johnson Foundation has created an endowed scholarship so that fund will be available to an individual who attended high school in Fauquier County – Fauquier, Kettle Run, Liberty, or Southeastern.
The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:
- Must complete a scholarship application
- Must reside in Fauquier County
- Must be a student at the Fauquier Campus
- Must be a graduate of a Fauquier County High School (Liberty, Fauquier, Kettle Run, or Southeastern)
- Must demonstrate financial need
Anderson Foundation Scholarship
Scholarship to cover up to 1/3rd of the full price of the tuition.
Applicant must:
- Must be residents of Page County
- Must be taking any trade program
- Submit Thank You Letter to finalize approval
Blauch Brothers Inc. Skilled Trades Scholarship
Matt Blauch, one of the new co-owners of Blauch Brothers, Inc – a mechanical contractor out of Harrisonburg has just signed an agreement for a new Blauch Brothers Inc. Skilled Trades Scholarship. The scholarship is to be awarded annually to one (or two) workforce students needing support in HVAC, welding, or plumbing. The funds, $1425 per year, can go towards tuition, fees, textbooks, or any educational or program related expenses. It is only available to those enrolled in Middletown. The scholarship will provide last dollar funding not covered by Fast Forward, G3 or other grants.
The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled at the Middletown Campus
- Must be awarded to students studying HVAC, welding, or plumbing through Laurel Ridge Workforce Solutions
- The scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, textbooks, or any educational or program related expenses
- The scholarship will provide last dollar funding not covered by FastForward, G3, or other state grants
BPG (Berryville Graphics)
Applicant must:
- Must be a recent of Clarke Co, Winchester City, or Frederick Co
- Must submit Thank You Letter to finalize approval
Carmeuse Lime and Stone Scholarship
Established in 1993, the Carmeuse Lime and Stone (formerly O-N Minerals Chemstone) Scholarship will be awarded annually. As a corporate citizen involved in the Northern Shenandoah Valley, Carmeuse Lime and Stone is very interested in helping applicants who hope to work in the area when their education is complete.
The scholarship will be awarded to Laurel Ridge students who meet the following criteria:
- Must complete a scholarship application
- Must be enrolled in a technology or skilled trades program offered by Laurel Ridge Workforce Solutions
- Must indicate a need for financial assistance
- Must reside in either Clarke County, Frederick County, Shenandoah County, Warren County or Winchester City.
- Carmeuse Lime and Stone employees and their dependents (spouses or children) will receive first consideration
Dominion Energy Power Line Worker Scholarship
The Dominion Energy Power Line Worker Scholarship is designed to assist students preparing for a career in the electric utility field. Dominion Energy invests in workforce development initiatives that help individuals gain the hands‑on training and industry credentials needed to enter the power line profession.
The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:
- Must complete a Laurel Ridge Workforce Solutions scholarship application
- Must be enrolled in the Power Line Worker Program
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must submit a Thank You Letter to finalize approval
- Scholarship funds may be applied toward tuition, fees, textbooks, or other program‑related costs. Awards are limited and offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis.

Front Royal Elks Scholarship
The Front Royal Elks Lodge 2382 scholarship has been established for students enrolled in skilled trades courses who demonstrate financial need. The candidate will reside in Warren County and must supply a photo/headshot for the donor.
Hazel Family Foundation Scholarship
The scholarship will be awarded to Laurel Ridge students who meet the following criteria:
- Demonstrate financial need by applying for Fantic/G3
- Plan to register for a Fastforward class
- Submit Thank You Letter to finalize approval
- Scholarship will cover up to 2/3rds of the class cost
- Priority given to students taking classes at the Warrenton location
HCCA Construction Trade Scholarship
Criteria:
- The scholarship is not need based.
- The scholarship may be used to cover the tuition for eligible programs offered by Laurel Ridge.
- Eligible programs include any of the following courses of study: Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO), Welding, Diesel Mechanic, Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), and Power Line Worker.
- The scholarship is renewable for different program offerings, as long as the program falls within the above criteria.
- HCCA scholarship recipients must be willing to submit to drug testing when interviewing with potential HCCA employers.
Laurel Ridge Mechatronics Scholarship
Scholarship to cover up to 1/3rd of the full price of the tuition.
Applicant must:
- Must be used for Mechatronic classes

Rappahannock Electric Cooperative Power Line Worker Scholarship
The Rappahannock Electric Cooperative (REC) Power Line Worker Scholarship supports students pursuing a career in the power line industry through Laurel Ridge Workforce Solutions. REC is committed to strengthening the local workforce and helping individuals gain the technical skills needed to enter high‑demand utility careers.
The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:
- Must complete a Laurel Ridge Workforce Solutions scholarship application
- Must be enrolled in the Power Line Worker Program
- Must demonstrate financial need
- Must submit a Thank You Letter to finalize approval
- Funds may be used toward tuition, fees, textbooks, or program‑related expenses. Awards are available on a first‑come, first‑served basis until funds are depleted.
Shenandoah County Community Foundation Scholarship
Shenandoah County Community Foundation continues to provide scholarships for Shenandoah County residents pursuing career/technical and trades education at Laurel Ridge. The funds are going through the Laurel Ridge Educational Foundation.
The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:
- Applicant must be resident of Shenandoah County
- Applicant must submit a Thank You Letter to finalize approval
Shenandoah County EDA Scholarship
The Shenandoah County Economic Development Authority has awarded $50,000 in scholarship funding to support educational opportunities for eligible Shenandoah County residents. These scholarships are designed to help local individuals pursue training and education that strengthen the county’s workforce and economic future. The funding reflects the EDA’s continued commitment to investing in people and expanding pathways to career success within the community.
Applicant must:
- Live in Shenandoah County
- Must be enrolling into a Fastforward program
- Demonstrate intent to work in a related industry within the region
- Demonstrate financial need by completing an application for financial assistance
- Submit Thank You Letter to finalize approval

Town of Luray Scholarship
Luray residents can save up to 75% off tuition for any Workforce Solutions courses at any of our three locations: Luray Page Center, Middletown, or Fauquier. With over 1,000 courses offered each year, credential programs that take weeks or months (not years) to complete, you can quickly gain the skills you need to change course.
Town of Warrenton Scholarship
The Town of Warrenton Scholarship is to encourage Warrenton residents to take a trades class at the Fauquier campus through the Workforce Solutions Program. It is available until funds are depleted. The candidate must be a Warrenton town resident (Zip Code 20186). Scholarship may cover partial or full cost of program depending on cost, need, and/or fund balance.
Warrenton Odd Fellows Workforce Training Scholarship
The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria:
- Students must complete a Laurel Ridge Workforce Solutions scholarship application.
- The scholarship may be used to cover the tuition for programs offered by Laurel Ridge Workforce Solutions at the Fauquier Campus.
- Eligible programs must lead to an industry credential.
- Preference will be given to Warrenton residents.
- Preference is given to students enrolled in health care and skilled trades programs.
- The scholarship is not based on financial need.
Warrenton Rotary Scholarship
The Warrenton Rotary Scholarship is to encourage Warrenton residents to take a credential class at Fauquier Campus through the Workforce Solutions Program. It is available until funds are depleted. Scholarship may cover partial or full cost of program depending on cost, need, and/or fund balance.
Workforce Training Fauquier Campus Scholarship
The scholarship will be awarded to Laurel Ridge students who meet the following criteria:
