Local businesses report on COVID-19 impact, recovery initiatives, and reset strategy

Laurel Ridge Workforce Solutions recently administered a survey to local businesses to determine the impact of COVID-19 on their business operations.

Brief Overview of Survey Findings

Local businesses report being fairly stable despite some minor disruptions caused by COVID-19. What’s more, they expect to fully recover from the global pandemic’s impact within the next two years.

The survey was distributed to business leaders in Frederick, Shenandoah, Fauquier, Rappahannock, Warren, Clarke, and Page counties, as well as Winchester City, and received over 120 unique responses.

Top industries that responded include: professional/technical/scientific services (20% of respondents), manufacturing, healthcare, construction, public administration, and education (each representing about 10% of survey responses).
