Lean Systems is a proven continuous improvement system focusing on process improvement that applies to all industries and organizations and will enhance the overall performance in quality, cost, delivery, safety, and customer satisfaction. Applying the Lean principles can reduce inventory, increase storage space, decrease quality defects, empower employees, and reduce costs. Participants of this class series will interactively learn the Basics of Lean (definition, history, flow, value add / non-value add, plan/do/check/act, Value Stream Mapping, Quality Improvement Model, Workplace Organization, Quick Changeover, Total Productive Maintenance, and Lean Leadership. Participants will receive the “2 Second Lean” book by Paul Akers and view their profound videos.
Course Objectives
- Learn the history and evolution of the Lean movement.
- Understand the definition of paradigms and how they have a detrimental effect on continuous improvement.
- Learn the key elements of Lean and Lean tools such as Kanban, poka-yoke, OEE, 5S …..
- Participants will have the opportunity to apply Lean tools such as Waste Walk, Process Flow Analysis, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Work Sampling, Problem Solving Model, Mass to Lean Simulation
