Fiber Optic Courses
Fiber Optic Installer
48 Hours, Fiber Optic Installers are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing fiber optic cables and related equipment. Fiber optic installers typically work in various industries such as telecommunications, internet service providers, cable television companies, and data centers. This program will cover basics of fiber and transmission theory, various cables and connectors, splicing, installation, and more. No experience necessary. All materials and exam included.
Prerequisite: No experience required. Students will sit for the ETA Fiber Optic Installer Certification Exam
Fiber Optic Technician
40 Hours, The Fiber Optic Technician course is a deeper dive into the world of fiber. Students will review cables and theory before moving into FTTx, emergency restoration, fiber characterization, and latest trends. This course will also offer hours of hands-on cable splicing and termination.
Prerequisite: Fiber Optic Installer course or 1-2 years experience in the field. Students will sit for the ETA Fiber Optic Technician- Outside Plant Certification Exam
