Meet Your Instructors

Amelia J. Stansell joined Middleburg Bank as the Community Executive and Commercial Relationship Manager in October 2014 after eight years with BB&T. Amelia uses her experience from financial planning and as a small business owner to help her clients with their business planning, and financial growth strategies.  She has a large portfolio of commercial clients predominately in Fauquier and Prince William Counties.

As a skilled networker, Amelia built a successful financial planning practice in Boise, Idaho which she sold to large Utah based bank which she met and caught the eye of through business networking.  When she moved to Virginia in 2006 she rebuilt a portfolio of commercial and small business clients through the power of networking.  She is a natural pay it forward connector who strives to find ways to connect the people she meets to find win-win opportunities for them whether or not she sees a direct benefit to herself.

Amelia has led strategic planning sessions for the Experience Old Town Warrenton Board of Directors, Town of Warrenton Economic Development Department and Leadership Fauquier Class of 2018.  Her passion for developing leaders has led her to become an Adjunct Professor at Laurel Ridge Community College where she facilitates leadership training in the Leadership Institute and Women’s Leadership Series. She also co-facilities Leadercast events for LFCC.

Brandi Sheetz, SHRM-SCP, is an engaging human resources leader who brings excitement and energy to the programs she’s leading. Brandi’s diverse background in both the public and private sector with practice areas including higher education, telecommunications, and healthcare, allows her to readily connect with her students. She’s known for her keen insight and problem solving, helping leaders to bridge the gap to higher levels of organizational performance through the application of human resource principles.  With over 15 years of human resources experience, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, employee engagement, and organizational development, her strongest asset is the ability to align the human resource function with the operations of the business. Brandi has a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership and numerous professional certifications.
